Experience the unique atmosphere of Good Friday in Nafplio through a guided walking tour that combines history, architecture, and living religious tradition.
The tour begins in the afternoon at the Filellinon Square, where you will meet your professional licensed guide and set off to explore the historic center of the city.

As you walk through its picturesque alleys, you will visit selected historic churches and landmarks, learning about the architectural styles that shaped Nafplio, from Venetian and Ottoman influences to neoclassical elements. The experience goes beyond sightseeing, offering insight into the history and role of Christianity in the Greek Orthodox tradition, as well as the spiritual significance of Holy Week and the unique character of Good Friday in Greece.

As evening approaches, the atmosphere becomes increasingly moving and solemn. With a sense of reverence, you will join and follow the Epitaphios procession, one of the most important and emotional traditions of Greek Easter, accompanied by candlelight, hymns, and local participation.
